  • Protect exposed pipes (wrap or insulate pipes in garages, crawlspaces, and outside walls)
  • Disconnect and drain outdoor hoses
  • Drip faucets SLIGHTLY during extreme cold (expecially on exterior walls)
  • Cover outdoor faucets
  • Know where your main shutoff valve is
  • Keep indoor heat on, even when away
